Well, it’s New Years Day here in Tirana, Albania, which is 6 hours ahead of USA eastern time, and 9 hours ahead of USA west coast time, so we’ll probably be some of the first to welcome 2026. There’s some Pacific Islands that are ahead of everyone, but my Aussie and Kiwi friends will be beating us all! Anyway, since we left the US in 2019 we’ve been someplace different every year, for instance:
- 2026 Tirana, Albania
- 2025 Bali, Indonesia
- 2024 Palawan Island, Philippines
- 2023 Sarande, Albania (probably our fave)
- 2022 Antalya, Turkey
- 2021 Puerto Morelos, Mexico
- 2020 Singapore (in flight)
- 2019 Costa Mesa, CA, US
