There are many counties in the world that are considered some of the most beautiful coasts in the world: Greece. France. Portugal. Big Sur, California. I have visited them and I must add Croatia to that esteemed list.

In the span of just 138 km, about 90 miles, we have viewed some of the clearest water ever and the beauty of the rocks is incredible.

We went down as far as Makarska (look it up) and up north to Sibenik (ditto). We are about in the middle, a village called Kastel Kambelovac, just north of Split. The area south of Split is amazing with a huge block of rock along the inside coastline, and beautifully clear water on the other side. Going north is not as impressive as far as the big rocks, but the coves and inlets are incredible.

We have just two weeks here at our current location and will be heading south again to what many consider one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Dubrovnik. We rented a scooter for that drive which is about 3 hours away. I’m sure that section of coastline will be just as impressive.
